welcome to able.
OUR WEBSITE IS IN THE PROCESS OF BEING UPDATED SEPTEMBER 2024
Able is a life skills centre that specialises in providing person centred care and support to individuals and groups of people with learning disabilities, neurodivergent conditions and complex care needs. We co-produce our projects and workshops with our supported people to help each person achieve greatness every day. Our support can be accessed via a referral from a professional (such as a social worker, support worker or OT). Our opportunities can also be accessed privately or via direct payments. If you would like to find out more you can book a FREE taster session by calling 01633 960627 or emailing info@able.wales.
what we do.
At Able we offer a wide range of opportunities throughout the week, each activity allows our supported people to try new things, develop new skills and gain nationally recognised qualifications. Our sessions are unique, they are tailored to individuals goals and are recognised by the AQA qualification scheme, Arts Awards to name a few, allowing our supported people to show case their achievements. Our team of highly skilled staff are dedicated to the people we support.
sustainable
Our Horticulture Therapy project allows our supported people to understand the ground to fork process whilst connecting with the outdoor environment. This project allows us to make the use of different sites across Torfaen and help individual develop in community environments with the right support for them. All the produce grown across our sites is then used in our ILS sessions.
